New Guidance on Proposed Changes in I-601 Waivers filed at US Lockbox

Hello Readers,  I am currently on a call with the USCIS to discuss the new proposed procedures for I-601 Waivers.   Here are the highlights:

1. The new process will be implemented by late spring orearly summer 2012, so VERY soon!
2. Under the new procedure, it will take about 3 months to decide whether an I-601 waiver gets approved.
3. The full and final waiver will be approved in ONE shot, unlike the 2 step process going on at CDJ currently.

This should be welcome news for anyone who wants to file an I-601 waiver!
